Our club meets the third Tuesday of every month for dinner, conversation, and club business. We sometimes often discuss cat-related issues, such as health, rescue, pet legislation, or topics related to particular breeds.
Our membership includes exhibitors (both new and longtime), breeders, owners (who we've talked into becoming exhibitors or fanciers, who just love the breed they own and want to participate in a CFA club), and is open to anyone who applies in the approved manner (check with the club secretary for details).
The club puts on a CFA Cat Show every year on the third Saturday in May. Our show hall is the Knights of Columbus Hall and in Newport News, VA, located on Nettles Drive, just of J. Clyde Morris Blvd, and 15 minutes from the Newport News/Williamsburg Airport. The show has 6 rings of judging, with over 200 cats present (over 40 recognized breeds in CFA), with vendors selling cat-themed clothing and jewelry, cat furniture & toys, cat food, and cat grooming supplies. Join us for the upcoming show!
The Chamberlin on the Bay Cat Fanciers meet at various locations in the Newport News area, and the club business meeting begins at 7:30 p.m. For specifics, please contact Sandi Patrick at Sandi-Harlee@cox.net or (757) 259-2282.
We would love to have anyone who has an interest in cats, whether it is rescue work, Household Pets, or people who'd like to get involved in the cat fancy as an exhibitor or breeder. We'd love to see YOU at our next meeting! |
